Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI)

Cross-cultural competence is essentially the ability to engage effectively and in the appropriate manner with people who are different than we are.

Sankofa Consultants Group uses IDI to evaluate your programs, develop new benchmarks, create new plans for programs and coach your leadership in order to foster a more inclusive and diverse environment.

Assessments

Sankofa Consultants Group offers assessments of diversity, inclusion and equity within organizations. Our consultants determine the baseline and benchmark for your workplace with you. We bring in an intersectional data and evidence-based approach to diagnose and understand the issues rooted in your workplace. To do so, we use a variety of methods tailored to your unique project and the culture of your organization.

Sankofa Consultants Group offers group support as a strategy to empower and create a sense of community. Through our group support, we work to inform the public and engage in advocacy.

GBA+

Gender Based Analysis (GBA+) is a powerful enquiry tool that helps you to identify who benefits and who may be unintentionally excluded or harmed by your work. It examines your work by sex, gender, indigeneity, race, ethnicity, ability, language, age, sexual orientation, location, etc. It applies to every type of project or decision. 

GBA+ is a requirement for federal and provincial funding, grant projects and research proposals. Using this tool in your workplace will produce greater innovation, profitability and general satisfaction.

Policy Writing and Policy Review

Sankofa Consultants Group guides individuals and organizations to implement equitable and inclusive policy through written procedures. It helps you write a statement of guiding principles; by describing what, why, how and by whom specific actions and steps will be undertaken.
