As partners, we felt a strong connection with the word Sankofa, and thought it would perfectly illustrate the vision we had for our company. Our organization embodies its namesake, literally translated as "go back and get", Sankofa means that we can find strength in the hurdles our ancestors faced, and shape our future by learning from their past.
